Because Telegram has this data, it may also be stolen by hackers or leaked by an internal employee. I want a secure messaging app, should I use Telegram? The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) had carried out a similar exercise in 2017 in a matter related to circulation of messages through WhatsApp.
